0. What is a Cap-It Certificate?
A Cap-It Certificate can be viewed as insurance against interest costs rising above an agreed maximum level. A Cap-It Certificate corresponds to an interest rate cap with similar features and cash flows.
The key difference between a Cap-It Certificate and a cap bought from a bank is that the Cap-It Certificate contains an additional layer of credit risk compared to a cap issued by a bank.
Cap-It Certificates may only be purchased by those persons defined as Elective Professional Client, High Net Worth Individual, or Self-Certified Sophisticated Investor, as set out on the eligibility page of this website.
